Paragliding over the Mediterranean

Olüdeniz, Turkey is considered one of the top paragliding destinations in the world! You definitely want to check this off your bucket list (or add it if it’s not already there). Launching from Babadağ Mountain, you will behold the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean seaside as well as the pine/maquis covered Toros Mountains in the background.

Afraid of heights? Think paragliding is only for the thrill-seeking adrenalin junkies? One of our lead guides is terrified of heights! The first time he went paragliding he thought he would have to jump off a cliff and experience free fall until the chute caught. But it was nothing like that. You start running down the launch pad and in a few short seconds the chute gently lifts you off the ground. You just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!

Flight time is usually 20-30 minutes, depending on wind conditions. You can decide if you want a relaxing flight or if you’d rather be a little more daring and do twists, turns, and flips. The companies we partner with will cater to your desired thrill appetite while maintaining our standard for safety and quality. Their  pilots have years of experience and will refuse to launch if conditions are unsafe. We once witnessed them show up to a launch pad where many others were launching. The owner of the company recognized that wind conditions were not good which added more risk than necessary. He refused to launch like many other companies but backtracked half an hour and drove to a different location where the wind and launch pad met his safety standards. That’s the sort of service we like to see, putting your safety before convenience or tight schedules/profit.

Important: Children under 5 years and adults with heart disease and/or weighing more than 100 kg (220 lbs) are not allowed to fly for safety reasons.
